Product Overview

The BWR2-04 / BWR2-06 Type II Transformer Winding Temperature Controller is designed for monitoring, indicating and controlling winding temperature of oil-immersed transformers. It is a Type II transformer winding temperature instrument for on-site temperature indication, alarm control, cooling fan control and remote temperature monitoring.

Based on the additional temperature rise principle, the product reflects transformer winding temperature by combining oil temperature measurement, transformer load current compensation and temperature rise calculation.

This series can be used with the BL-F composite transmitter for temperature rise sensing and signal transmission. The BL-F composite transmitter can receive transformer CT secondary current and provide Pt100 resistance signal output. It can also be connected with the TC-152 temperature transmitter to provide 4-20mA standard current signal output for secondary instruments, remote monitoring systems or automation control systems.

With compact structure, stable signal output, adjustable switches and IP55 protection, the BWR2-04 / BWR2-06 Series is suitable for power transformers, oil-immersed transformers, substations and power distribution systems.

Function Description

Winding Temperature Indication

The controller provides pointer-type indication of transformer winding temperature, helping operators check transformer operating status on site.

Temperature Rise Compensation

With the BL-F composite transmitter, the controller can receive transformer CT secondary current and compensate temperature rise according to transformer load conditions.

Remote Signal Output

The product supports Pt100 resistance signal output and can be connected with the TC-152 temperature transmitter to provide 4-20mA standard current signal for remote monitoring systems, secondary instruments, PLC systems or automation control systems.

Alarm Control

When the transformer winding temperature reaches the preset value, the controller can output an alarm signal.

Cooling Fan Control

The controller can start or stop the cooling fan according to the preset temperature point.

Protection Control

When the temperature exceeds the safety limit, the controller can provide a protection output signal for transformer safety control.

Multi-stage Control

Installation and Customization

The standard capillary tube length is 6 meters. Other lengths can be customized according to project requirements. The temperature bulb size is Phi15 x 150mm, and the mounting thread is M27 x 2.

The BL-F composite transmitter mounting thread can be M27 x 2 or M33 x 2. The temperature bulb size is Phi15mm, and the insertion depth should not be less than 150mm.

Customized output signal, switch quantity, measuring range, capillary tube length, mounting thread, protection type and CT input current requirements can be confirmed according to the actual application.
